My car was in and out of the body for over 6 yelling, hastling, insurance
fraud filled months. My EX insurance company ARBELLA worked
together with the shop to screw me over in every possible way. The
insurance company claimed I worked out a deal with the body shop
trying to save myself money.....I almost had to get a lawyer to stress
how FALSE that was. After the repairs were supposedly complete the
body shop quoted me the cost and I paid, only to find out they "forgot"
to tell me about a betterment fee ($230), which, according to the
insurance company translated into me not paying in full thereby making
the body shop no longer be a referral shop that gurantees its work,
which means my insurance would no longer cover any additional costs. I
brought my car home only to find countless nuts and bolts missing, a
dent still in my rear quarter panel, the car sitting on a tilt and a busted
tire. I spent many a sleepless night thinking, pondering, stressing how
to get my car fixed and how to approach this situation without exploding
into an outrage. The body shop is called Kustom Fabication and it is
located in Rutland Massachusetts. The Owner is David Szczurko. Be this
slander or not, I don't care, I want the public to know. He was the brains
behind this extreme and apparent insurance fraud along with the head
adjuster Mark Gorski of Arbella. I spoke with the top people of Arbella,
including the district manager, only to find they did not care WHAT-S0-
EVER. They said that...and i qoute "It isn't our problem, you can handle
it with the body shop yourself, or take it to small claims court, it is your
issue not ours." SMALL CLAIMS COURT?! So far the insurance and
myself dumped over 8,500 dollars to get my car fixed which, 5,000
grand was in labor alone. I have yet to get the small dent on my car
fixed, that was already "fixed" according to Arbella and the body shop.
My car has not been re-inspected by the Insurance company, and
therfore I am driving illegally according to Massachusetts law. I am a 21
year old student who has no money for a lawyer or to persue any of this
further. I spoke with my Arbella representative and he clearly told me
that what I experienced was insurance fraud. He was my only supporter
on the Arbella side. Anyway, I got my car back only a little over a
month ago, body dented, paint didn't match, car sitting unevenly on the
ground, broken glass under my seats and inside my rear hatch, stereo
no longer working, blown speaker, and a mismatched exhaust. Dave N
and I were able to fix the mismatched exhaust, but everything else
remains.
